Dear Folks,
After a very long, lengthy, and principled discussion and taking into account the bleak financial forecasts, the team was very concerned about putting forth a proposal which is both sustainable and fiscally responsible. Here is what the team has decided:
3% on the base
Reinstating the lost step and all that it entails
$1600 stipend for those who are frozen
We believe this to be reasonable and responsible; especially considering these uncertain economic times.
We need each and every one of you ready to volunteer and stand behind the team and support them, yourselves, and your colleagues.
Solidarity is the thing we must seek at this time. It is in solidarity of spirit and action that we can accomplish our goals.
Again and as always, thank you for your support.

Just Wednesday night the district revealed that it “out performed” last years budget by approximately six million dollars.
This means they have EVEN MORE money than expected that they could spend on salaries.
